Performance

Saturday, March 28, 2026

Tickets are available for $15 – 49.50

You’ll be whisked away on an unforgettable journey through enchanted forests, daring adventures, and legendary lands! This spellbinding concert features some of classical music’s most exciting and imaginative works-from the sweeping drama of Peer Gynt and the soaring ride of the Valkyries, to the dreamy beauty of Swan Lake and the fiery magic of The Firebird. With every piece, a new story unfolds-of brave heroes, clever children, and mythical creatures.

This performance is a greatest hits celebration of fairytales and folklore, brought to life by the full orchestra. Whether you’re a first-time concertgoer or a lifelong music lover, Music and Magic and Myth promises wonder, excitement, and just a touch of musical mischief.

Arrive early or stay after the show for hands-on musical fun in the lobby! From shakers and drums you can grab and play, to violins and strings you can strum or bow with a little help from our friendly guides-there’s something for everyone to try. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to join in the joy of making music!

About Our Sensory Friendly Concerts:

This performance is specially designed for individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families. The program will run about 45 minutes and may include slightly louder moments-particularly from brass and percussion. We recommend bringing headphones or ear covers for those who may be more sensitive to sound.

Audience members are free to move around, dance, sing, or vocalize at any time. A Quiet Room will  be available for anyone who needs a break and a GSO Social Story is available for download. For safety, we ask that running and skipping not take place inside the auditorium.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy orchestral music in a relaxed, inclusive, and supportive environment.

The GSO is proud to be a KultureCity Sensory Inclusive™ Certified organization.
