75th Anniversary Celebration

Join the Georgia Symphony Orchestra for an unforgettable evening as we mark 75 years of music, community, and inspiration with a once-in-a-generation concert event. This milestone performance is more than a performance—it’s a powerful tribute to the GSO’s enduring legacy and a celebration of its future.

On this special night, the stage will be filled with over 200 performers, uniting the Georgia Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, the Uzee Brown Society of Choraliers, the Wendell P. Whalum Community Chorus, the Georgia Spiritual Ensemble, and the extraordinary young musicians of the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra. Together, they’ll create a sweeping sonic experience that spans generations, cultures, and traditions.

The program features a dynamic mix of music that reflects the GSO’s rich legacy and diverse partnerships, from spiritually rooted choral works to orchestral favorites.

A highlight of the evening will be a powerful side-by-side performance with the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, showcasing the next generation of talent as they join GSO musicians in selections from Holst’s beloved symphonic suite The Planets, that explores the vastness and wonder of the cosmos.

The celebration reaches its apex with the profound and soaring final movements of Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony. With full chorus, orchestra, and soloists joined in musical triumph, this conclusion is a breathtaking testament to resilience, renewal, and the power of the human spirit—echoing the very story of the GSO over the past 75 years.

More than a concert, this is a celebration of the GSO’s past, present, and future. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to the symphony, this is an evening you won’t want to miss.
