David Lloyd is a professional cellist originally from Wisconsin and currently based in Atlanta GA. His musical journey began at a young age, discovering a love for the expressive sounds of the cello, which evolved into studies in cello performance at University of Wisconsin. Notable teachers include Rebecca Lange, Marth Gerschefski, Dorothy Lewis and Carlton McCreary. He performs as principal cellist with Georgia Symphony and Carroll Symphony and has performed with Atlanta Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Alabama Symphony, Chattanooga Symphony and Savannah Symphony. He also has performed with the Spoleto Festival and Festival Dei Due Mondi in Italy as well as numerous chamber groups throughout the southeast.
