Sarah Heilman

Sarah Heilman, a North Carolina native based in Berlin, Germany, is an internationally recognized coloratura soprano known for her vocal agility, brilliant high register, and engaging stage presence. She is excited to be making her debut with the Georgia Symphony Orchestra.

In recent seasons, Ms. Heilman has performed operatic roles such as Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (Berlin Opera Academy), Vitellia in La Clemenza di Tito (Mozart Opera Studio, Vienna), and the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor (International School of the Voice).

In addition to her work on the operatic stage, Ms. Heilman’s recent concert engagements include multiple concerts with the Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte, as well as the soprano soloist in Verdi‘s Requiem with the Diplomatic Choir of Berlin in the Berlin Cathedral.

Ms. Heilman has participated in numerous international vocal competitions, earning several awards including Second Place in the Georgia Symphony Orchestra Beethoven 9 Competition and First Grand Award in the Vienna International Music Competition. Ms. Heilman holds degrees from the Mannes School of Music and Vanderbilt University, and will continue her career journey in Germany with a move west to Düsseldorf this spring.
