Jeanne Carere

Jeanne Carere grew up in a very musical family and began playing when she was nine years old. As a young musician, she spent two summers at the prestigious Boston University Tanglewood Institute and was a three year member of the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra. Jeanne attended Boston University studying Music Performance. While there, she won 2nd place in the James Pappoutsakis flute competition, a rarity for an undergraduate.

After returning to Atlanta, Jeanne began performing at the Fox theater for Broadway Musicals including Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Evita. She auditioned and won the position of Principal Flute in the Atlanta Ballet and the Georgia Symphony Orchestra. She also plays Piccolo with the Alabama Symphony on a regular basis.

In addition to her active playing career, Jeanne owns a small music store, teaches privately, and raises her four awesome kids.
