Soaring and searing brass works highlight the opening of the GSO’s 72nd dynamic season! Mahler’s Blumine was originally set as movement in his first symphony, before later being removed by the composer. Mexican composer Arturo Marquez’s Danzon No. 7 provides blasts of brass that will get your feet moving. To round out the program, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 4 blazes to a fast and furious finish.
