Learn How to Listen "Musically"

Barbara Hammond Have you ever wanted to attend local concerts with a “better ear”? This new course will provide skill development experiences, leading to greater enjoyment of musical performances.

Taught by seasoned professional Barbara P. Hammond, Music Education Lecturer at Kennesaw State University, students will learn through fun activities utilizing elements of music including style, genre, melody, rhythm, harmony, and form. Mrs. Hammond also will coordinate “field” trips where participants will have real concert going experiences in which they can test out their skills. “With such a plethora of concert venues, you could go somewhere every night in Cobb County. Isn’t that amazing!”
