Founded in 2007, the 100+ member
Georgia Symphony Chorus performs the
great masterpieces for chorus and orchestra. A volunteer
group drawing singers from all over the greater metro
region, it serves as the Principal Chorus of the Georgia
Symphony Orchestra.
Each year, the GSO Chorus dedicates its performance services
to the Georgia Symphony Orchestra for all choral programs
scheduled by the GSO during its subscription concert series.
Highlights
of previous seasons include Beethoven's Ninth
Symphony, Mahler's Second Symphony, Vaughn Williams'
Fantasia on Christmas Carols and Orff's Carmina Burana.
Additionally, the GSO Chorus gives its own series of
independent concerts each season.
The GSO Chorus is led by Bryan Black,
Music Director at the First United Methodist Church of
Marietta and the DeKalb Choral Guild.
